Prince Harry recently responded to rumors he and wife Meghan Markle were secretly divorced.
According to Newsweek, the Duke of Sussex appeared at The New York Times Dealbook Summit in New York City on Wednesday (December 4) night, and got candid about the tabloids fascination of his life with Markle.
"They're fascinated about, 'Meghan is in California and you are here' and there's articles left and right about, 'Why are you doing independent events? Why aren't you doing them together?'"
As for why the pair have been spotted at separate events the last couple of months, Harry quipped that he shows up at places he's invited to and it's as simple as that.
"Because you invited me, you should have known, you should have known that was going to happen." The beloved royal has read so much false information about his life in the tabloids over the years that he is simply choosing to shrug off the rumors with sarcasm now.
"It's definitely not a good thing. Because apparently we've bought or moved house maybe 10 or 12 times and we've apparently divorced maybe 10 or 12 times as well."
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are happily married and continue to enjoy family life in Montecito, California with their two children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
