You would think being in one of the most-talked about TV shows of the year would come with a hefty paycheck, but according to one of the stars of White Lotus, that is not exactly the case.

In a new interview with Variety, Jason Isaacs, who played patriarch Timothy Ratliffe in season three of The White Lotus, revealed the "very low price" he and his fellow cast members were paid during their run on the hit HBO series. The Harry Potter alum, 62, shared that each cast member was paid $40,000 per episode, with him earning around $320,000 for the entire season, though he didn't seem to mind making as much as actors with less experience than himself, per E! News.

"Generally actors don't talk about pay in public because it's ridiculously disproportionate to what we do — putting on makeup and funny voices — and just upsets the public," he said. "But compared to what people normally get paid for big television shows, that's a very low price."

The English actor also opened up about his own way with money, specifically how he has already spent a good deal of the monies he has made throughout his career.

"I never work for money," he said. "I've done all right. People will think I have huge stockpiles of money but sadly, what I've done rather immaturely is expand my outgoings to match my incomings and pretty much spent everything I've earned over the years."
