Katy Perry recently addressed the viral conspiracy theory claiming she's child pageant star JonBenét Ramsey, who passed away nearly three decades ago.

The "Last Friday Night" hitmaker responded to the longstanding rumor that surfaced in 2014 (per E!News), supposing Ramsey's death was faked and that she grew up to be the 40-year-old music icon.

The songstress left a comment on an Instagram Post earlier this month that used AI to morph Ramsey's face into Perry's, and the resemblance was uncanny. Perry herself viewed the video and responded, "Wait am I."

The six-year-old was murdered in her family home in 1996 in Boulder, Colorado, and, to this day, no one has been charged for her death, according to E!News.

The child's mother passed away nearly two decades ago and her father is still alive investigating her death. In November 2024, Netflix released the documentary "Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey?" which chronicled "the decades-long quest for justice," highlighting "police missteps" and media involvement.

Not long after, the Boulder Police Department released a statement (via X) addressing criticism of their efforts, stating that they're still dedicated to finding the person who murdered Ramsey on that tragic day in '96.
