Lizzo is reflecting on her life as she celebrates a new chapter.

The "Still Bad" singer rang in her 37th birthday in style on Sunday (April 27), commanding the center of attention in a skin-tight sheer leopard print dress with matching opera gloves paired with a gorgeous updo. She shared several smiling snaps to her Instagram of her and her guests celebrating her big day, even giving followers a close look at her incredible cake, which featured Lizzo in the style of a Sailor Moon character.

Lizzo paired the photos with a vulnerable message about how she "cried like a baby" during her party after spending her whole life trying to appear strong.

"I'm a tough cookie. I tried my whole life not to cry and be seen as anything less than strong," she said. "I had a lot of anxiety leading up to my birthday and I could feel it clogging my emotions..."

Lizzo admitted that despite the party, she was worrying if everyone was enjoying themselves and if she was being a good enough host. She recalled the moment all of the emotions she had been bottling up inside overflowed during the celebrations as she felt overwhelmed with happiness to be surrounded by the people she loved.

"last night at dinner, while freaking out about not spending time with everyone equally and worrying if people were having a good time, I looked and saw my mommy brother & sister sitting in front of me, eating and smiling... I looked to my right and my best friend Lexo was making a joke about eating avocados and I lost it," she said. "I cried like a baby! I couldn't control the tears pouring through the wall I'd been hiding behind."

She continued, "I was SO HAPPY because regardless of yesterday and regardless of what was gonna happen next, in that very moment I had everything I needed. In that moment everything was ok."

The "Good As Hell" hitmaker ended her post by expressing how "grateful" she is for everyone who shows her love and support and how she feels "so deeply blessed."
